Sen. Ned Nwoko (APC-Delta) on Wednesday felicitated Her Royal Highness, Omu Onyebuchibe Okonkwo, the Omu (queen mother) of Obior Kingdom, on her birthday.
Nwoko described the Omu as a fearless leader and a pillar of strength in the advancement of Anioma’s collective aspirations.
He said that she had distinguished herself as a person of uncommon strength and clarity of purpose, adding that her voice had continued to resonate in matters concerning the progress and unity of Anioma people.
The lawmaker representing Delta North Senatorial District also acknowledged the Omu’s steadfast support for the creation of Anioma State.
He said that her position had helped sustain the momentum around the longstanding demand, describing her as a courageous woman who remained consistent in championing the interests of her people, regardless of prevailing challenges.
According to him, Her Royal Highness has remained resolute and unwavering in her advocacy, bringing both dignity and conviction to issues that affect our people.
The senator also acknowledged her role in preserving the cultural values of Obior Kingdom, noting that her leadership had reflected a balance of tradition and progressive engagement.
Nwoko further wished the royal mother continued good health, wisdom, and strength to sustain her impactful leadership.
He expressed confidence that her legacy of courage and service would continue to endure.
