Speaking at the event, she noted, “Winners will be judged based on the strength of storytelling, directing, performance, sound design, and other key categories,” emphasizing the awards’ commitment to excellence and creative integrity.
The return of the highly anticipated Icons Night was also confirmed, signaling a renewed focus on legacy within the industry. Reintroduced to honour veterans and pioneers, Icons Night serves as a nostalgic and meaningful tribute to the individuals whose contributions have shaped the African entertainment landscape, bridging generations and celebrating enduring impact.
In addition, sponsors for this year’s edition were unveiled, including major brands such as Don Julio Tequila, MTN, and Onga, alongside other key partners aligning with the vision and cultural significance of the awards, further highlighting growing corporate confidence in the power and influence of African storytelling.
