Teacher nabbed for defiling 15 year- old -pupil in Nasarawa

A Primary School Teacher has been arrested by the Police for defiling a 15 year- old- girl said to be his pupil in Sudan United Mission Primary School, Agwatashi Town, Obi LGA of Nasarawa State.

The perpetrator, Solomon Ari, a teacher in the school was alleged to have committed the offence on Aug. 14.

A source, who pleaded anonymity said the victim name withheld, reported that her teacher, Ari sent her to bring a broom from the classroom after school hour but followed her and forcefully defiled and caused her serious injuries.

He said that Ari, who is married with children was earlier reported to the Council Chairman, Alh. Muhammad Iyimoga-Oyigye who ordered for his arrest.

ASP Ramhan Nansel, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), when contacted, confirmed the incident.

He said that on Aug. 16, about 0745hrs, a case of rape was reported that one Alaga Solomon Ari had on Aug.14 lured and unlawfully had canal knowledge of a 15 year- old- girl at Agwatashi, Obi LGA of Nasarawa State.

“Upon receipt of the information, the Police went after the suspect and arrested him.

“The Commissioner of Police, Bola Longe has directed that the case be transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department in Lafia for a more thorough investigation,” said.
