Pandemonium erupted in Ajah area of Lagos State today as hoodlums unleash terror on the riverine community burning buildings and shops.
SECURITY MONITOR correspondent reports that the crisis which started like a friendly disagreement was between Ajah indegens and Ilaje settlers over the control of dredging sites.
No fewer than 70 shops were reported to have been set ablaze by the gangsters who brandish sophisticated weapons and ammunition.

Unconfirmed reports have it that gangsters killed some people and throw them into the lagoon but the police who later calmed the situation arrested some of the suspects and whisked them to area J Police Command in Ajah.
