After three long months of no football due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the 2019-20 LaLiga season returns with round 28 matches to SuperSport viewers on GOtv.
The games, which are scheduled to hold from Thursday, 11th till Sunday, 14th June, will be broadcast live on SuperSport Select 4 exclusive to GOtv Max subscribers.
Leading the pack of games is the encounter between Seville derby, also known as the Great Derby (El Gran Derbi), and Real Betis at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on Thursday night.
The match kicks off at 8:50pm and will be aired live on SuperSport Select 4.
The two teams are experiencing very different fortunes, with Sevilla looking to secure a top-four finish and a place in the UEFA Champions League next season, while Real Betis are trying to push themselves up to mid-table and remain clear of the relegation battle below them.
Sevilla defeated Real Betis 2-1 when the teams met at Estadio Benito Villamarin back in November 2019.
Completing a LaLiga ‘double’ over their town rivals would be a major achievement for coach Julen Lopetegui and his charges, while African fans will hope to see Moroccan Youssef En-Nesyri continuing his excellent form.
Attention will also turn to what we anticipate will be exciting match between Spanish La Liga team Granada and Getafe.Granada will be in action on Friday evening as they host Getafe after 3 years, in Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes.
The visitors who are currently fifth in Spain’s topflight will be bringing their A-game as they fight for a top Four spot in La Liga.
The game will be aired live on GOtv SuperSport Select 4 at 6:20pm.On the other hand, Barcelona take on Mallorca at Iberostar Estadi in their first league game since the return of LaLiga due to the covid-19 outbreak.
Mallorca will be expected to play their hearts in the Saturday’s showdown to secure their spot in the La Liga.
The game will be aired live on GOtv SuperSport Select 4 at 8:50pm.The remaining team from the ‘big four’, Real Madrid, will also be in action on Sunday with a testing clash with Eibar in their home at the Alfredo di Stéfano stadium in Valdebebas.
The Basque side who is currently in their 8th place at the football league table, will need to they give their best on Sunday to ensure their move up the ladder. The match will be aired live on SuperSport Select 4 at 6:20pm.
Other series of top-flight games scheduled to hold, involving elite UEFA champions league teams across various football competitions such as Valencia vs Levante at 8:50pm on Friday 12 June, Espanyol vs Deportivo Alaves at 1:00pm on Saturday 13 June, Celta Vigo v Villarreal at 3:50pm, Leganes v Real Valladolid at 6:20pm and on Sunday 13 June, Athletic Bilbao v Atletico Madrid at 1:00pm, Real Sociedad v Osasuna at 8:50pm will all be aired live on GOtv SuperSport Select 4.
