The Lagos state Arewa Chairman, Alhaji Monmondu Dandamoh has advised Nigerians and all religious bodies not to relent in praying for the nation especially this period of COVID- 19 Pandemic.
He said this when our reporter visited his office at Mile 12, Shukurah Yam Seller Association of Nigeria in Lagos.
“Everything in the country is unique especially this period due to the outbreak of Coronavirus worldwide.
“Although we should consider whatever that is happening now as part of the sacrifice to be made, no one should question God.
“Rather we should all join in helping the government to fight the pandemic which has crippled both social and economic activities globally.
He urged Nigerians to abide with the law and order of the government to help curb the spread of the virus so that everything will come back to normal.
Speaking on the movement of Almajiris, he said that he did not know the intention of those transporting them out of the North to other parts of Nigeria.
” I feel bad seeing them begging for alms on daily basis, I know how many I feed and presently I am assisting some who want to go to school”.
Dandamoh also noted that education is important and key to every success in life.
“I wanted to be educated but I didn’t have the opportunity but I made sure that all my children are educated.
“In Mile 12 and environs many people have benefited from my pet project and I am going to do more by the grace of Almighty Allah,” he said.
He also admonished Nigerians to live in unity and respect one other, ‘we are brothers and sisters before God,” he added.
