Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau has called on community leaders and traditional rulers in the State to champion harmonious living among the different nationalities for peace, unity and development to thrive.
The Speaker made the call shortly after the conferment of the chieftaincy tittle of Santuraki Koron-Kuje on him by the Koron Kuje traditional council in B.A.D, Lafia local government today.
Speaker Jatau said that peace is non-negotiable, hence the need for community leaders and traditional rulers to preach, and ensure peace, in their domains at all times.
“Peace is the necessary requirement for the development of any society, as peace is priceless and of utmost importance”, he said.
The Speaker appreciated the Koron-Kuje Traditional Council for the traditional title and pledged to continue to provide an all-inclusive leadership in the House .

Jatau also called on the people of the state to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration to succeed.
Aside from the Speaker, the member representing Lafia North Constituency, Hon. Esson Mairiga and his Lafia Central counterpart, Hon. Solomon Yakubu Akwashiki were conferred with the traditional tittles of Walin Koron-Kuje and Jarami Koron-Kuje, respectively.
Among the 47 traditional titleholders, a philanthropist and state chairman, All Farmers Association of Nigeria, Ambassador Isaac Kigbu, alongside other speakers, reminded traditional titleholders that a crown comes with responsibilities.
Chariman of the occasion and Former Federal Lawmaker, Dr Joseph Haruna Kigbu called on the state government to construct Lafia B.A.D road due to its socio-economic importance.
