An Abuja based lawyer, Emmanuel Ekwe, has threatened to drag senator David Umahi to court if he fails to accept ministerial appointment under Tinubu’s administration.

The lawyer said he would file a suit against the senator representing Ebonyi South Senatorial District at the Federal High Court, Abuja to seek for an order compelling him to accept the ministerial appointment.

In a press release dated 28th July, 2023, Ekwe noted that Nigeria’s infrastructural deficit has risen to crisendo, adding that he knows Umahi’s capacity and strategy for change.

“I know his capacity to change the scenario, his capacity to change things from negative to positive.”

“He has done it in Ebonyi State which looked like a glorified Local Government Area wherein he gave the state a deserving facelift through meaningful infrastructural projects.”

He said Umahi will perform optimally as a Minister of Power, Works and Housing in view of his unbeatable track records.

The lawyer said the achievements of Senator Umahi while he held sway as the governor of Ebonyi State had put him as the best man to compliment president Bola Tinubu in the area of critical infrastructures.

Ekwe noted that Senator Umahi made notable impacts, especially in the area of infrastructure, human capital development, among others in Ebonyi State.

He said Ebonyi State witnessed unprecedented transformation under the Umahi’s administration.
