Ebonyi government, on Friday, announced the commencement of collection of application forms from individuals interested in the post of Ebubeagu Corps Commander in the state.
This was contained in a statement issued in Abakaliki by the Commissioner for Internal Security, Border Peace and Conflict Resolution, Mr Stanley Okoro-Emegha.
Okoro-Emegha said that applicants for the post should be retired, well-trained and experienced police officers, not below the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police or its equivalent in other security services.
“The corps commander shall be responsible for the day-to-day running of affairs of the corps and implementation of decisions of the board.
“He shall receive instructions and carry out directives from Ebubeagu South-East Regional Command, Coordinator and control headquarters.
“The person shall be holding meetings and conferences under the auspices of Ebubeagu South-East Regional Command, Coordinator and control headquarters.
“He shall hold collaborative meetings with his counterparts in other states, with the consent of Ebubeagu South-East Regional Command, Coordinator and control headquarters and forward report within 24 hours of the meetings to the headquarters.
“The commander shall have general supervision and control of all employees of the corps and draw up programmes of training for members of the corps for effective and efficient performance of their functions under the law.
“The commander shall generally perform all other duties relating to the agency, as may be specifically assigned by the board,” the commissioner stated.
Okoro-Emegha said that all applications must be accompanied with the applicants’ curriculum vitae (CV) and should reach the undersigned on or before the close of work on July 7.
