Mr Ibrahim Goni, the Conservator General (CG), of the National Park Service on Monday announced the promotion of Abong Abong, from Conservator of Park (CP), to Assistant Conservator General (ACG).
Goni made the announcement during a promotion ceremony organised by the Park’s management in Abuja.
He urged the newly decorated officer to be diligent in his work, in order to promote the service of the Park.
Abong in his address thanked the management for the elevation and called for cooperation of all officers of the Park.
He promised to work hard to promote tourism and upgrade the knowledge base of staff.
Abong said that tourism development and marketing were important areas he would look into.
“I will also be working to see how we can upgrade the knowledge base of our staff, so we can deliver quality service.
“We need to begin marketing of tourism to the communities around us and get the villagers to develop interest in tourism,” he said.
