Hon. Afolabi Abdullateef Momoh, popularly known as Mogaji, has officially commenced his consultation and campaign journey to the Senate with blessings from his community in Ẹkan, Ikare-Akoko.

In a symbolic return to his roots, Mogaji was received at his family home where religious leaders from both Christian and Islamic communities, women groups, and residents gathered to pray for his success.

The gathering reflected the Yoruba adage “Ilé la ti n k’eso r’óde” meaning “Charity begins at home,” as his people collectively invoked divine favor for his ambition.

Prayers were offered by an interfaith coalition of clerics who asked God to grant Mogaji strength, wisdom, and victory in his political journey. The women of Ẹkan also joined in the session, praying fervently for the fulfillment of his aspirations. Supporters from neighboring communities further expressed solidarity, emphasizing that when a leader is divinely chosen, peace and development will naturally follow.

Hon. Mogaji, a native of Ikare-Akoko, is widely regarded as a humanitarian and community development advocate. Tributes from residents and recent social media commentaries have described him as “a distinguished son of Ikare-Akoko,” highlighting his reputation for integrity and generosity.

With his Senate bid, Mogaji has promised to bring a new era of progress and prosperity to Ondo North. His campaign is anchored on grassroots connection, inclusiveness, and service-driven leadership, drawing confidence from his track record of community engagement and humanitarian work.

The endorsement he received from Ẹkan, marked by prayers, unity, and widespread participation, sets the tone for what is expected to be a people-driven campaign.

As Mogaji continues consultations across Ondo North, his supporters believe that his journey from Ẹkan to Abuja represents more than a political ambition—it is a mandate rooted in faith, service, and shared community values.
