Our attention has been drawn to an advert or jingles promoting an event being organized by some faceless impostors posing as, or misrepresenting themselves as Executive members of the National Association of Nigerian Traditional Medicine Practitioners.

The said purported event is taking place in Ogun State between 20 and 21 November, 2024.

We, the members of the Board of Trustees of the National Association of Nigerian Traditional Medicine Practitioners, led by Alhaji Dr. Shehu Adamu Bashiru as Chairman Board of Trustees and Dr. Luka Doka as National President, hereby inform the general public, particularly the Ogun State Chapter and the good people of the state that, no such event is being organized by the Association, and that if any is being so organized, it is not with the knowledge and approval of the Board of Trustees and National Executive Members of our Association.

Consequently, the Board of Trustees, National Executive Members and indeed all members across Nigeria hereby dissociate ourselves from the said event scheduled to take place on the 20th and 21st of November, 2024 in Ogun State.

We also use this medium to warn any person or group of persons posing as, or parading themselves as, leaders of the National Association of Nigerian Traditional Medicine Practitioners, particularly one Alhaji Shaba Maikudi, to desist forthwith from misrepresenting themselves as the National Executive members of the Association.

The general public is to please take note that Ahaji Shaba Maikudi and members of his Executive, are not recognized as legitimate Executive members of The National Association of Nigerian Traditional Medicine Practitioners.

Their tenure has since elapsed and therefore they can no longer speak for, or represent the interest of, members of the Association.
