They have proceeded to defeat reigning champions, Senegal, Mali and DR Congo to set up a rematch with the Super Eagles.
Stop-gap coach, Emerse Fae had described his team’s resurgence as a resurrection. He will be hoping his team can win a third AFCON trophy on home soil.
