Rite Foods Limited felicitates with Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eid Mubarak

As part of activities marking this year’s Felabration, which commemorates the late Afrobeat king, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, the Bigi carbonated soft drink brand produced by Rite Foods, on Wednesday, sponsored the Schools Debate associated with the one-week event.

The competition, which had ten secondary schools in participation, was held at Freedom Park, Lagos, where contesting students were invigorated by the array of different varieties of Bigi Carbonated Drinks, and winners clinched fabulous prizes.

The winner, Fathia Itunu Adeyemo of Ipakodo Senior Secondary School, was rewarded for her brilliant performance with a laptop, smartphone, and a school bag. The first runner-up, Josephine Ukpen of Lagos State Senior Model College, Kankon, got a tablet device, smartphone and a schoolbag, while the second runner-up, Temiday Abbey of Oke Ira Senior Grammar School, went home with a smartphone and a schoolbag.

Other secondary schools involved include Oak International School, Bellina College, Oke-Odo Senior High School, Lagos State Senior Model College Igbonla, Baptist Academy, Doven College, and Fountain Height Secondary School.

With a scintillating presentation and a very constructive augment, the students from the schools debated on the theme “COVID-19 a Blessing or Curse?”

Speaking on the event, Rite Foods’ Brand Manager, Boluwatife Adedugbe, said the Truly World-Class company would continue to support educational initiatives for increased knowledge among students; hence the Bigi brand has thrown its weight behind the schools’ debate as part of this year’s Felabration, with the Fearless energy drink brand also powering other activities related to the one-week event.

“Education remains crucial to nation-building, and the sponsorship is another platform through which Rite Foods invests in the lives of students who are the future leaders that will contribute immensely to the development of this country,” Adedugbe stated.

In her remark, the Founder of Felabration, Yeni Anikulapo Kuti, said the debate was started to develop the intellect of young Nigerians and broaden their knowledge about Fela’s ideology, music, and Africanism.

She also commended Rite Foods for providing maximum refreshments for the students with its 12 Bigi variants of carbonated soft drinks and premium water. According to her, “Rite Foods is a truly indigenous brand that has promoted entertainment to an enviable height in Nigeria and has made this year’s Felabration bigger and better,” Yeni affirmed.
