Gov. Samuel Ortom of Benue on Wednesday said he would sue the Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs and Special Duties, Sen. George Akume to prove the allegations that he levelled against him.
The governor disclosed this on Wednesday while briefing newsmen in Makurdi.
He further disclosed that the minister held a press conference in Abuja on Monday where he said Skume made frivolous allegations of fraud against him.
“The onus of prove lies on him because he must justify all his claims.
“As a law abiding citizen I know that the best way to go about the issue was to sue him.
“All that he said were false and tissues of lies.
“He said all those things against me in order to secure his meal ticket and to also do the biddings of his pay masters,” he said.
The Governor promised that he would not be distracted nor deterred by Akume’s or opposition antics.
