The Chairman of Fiscal Responsibility Commission (FRC)Mr Victor Muruako says the commission is set to partner with the NYSC on prudence in public finance.
Muruako said this when he paid a courtesy visit to the Director-General, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig. Gen. Shuaibu Ibrahim in Abuja.

He urged the NYSC D-G to liberally accommodate the Commission’s submission to sensitise mobilised Corps Members on the importance of fiscal responsibility and prudence in public finance in their orientation camps across the states of the federation.

“We want our fiscal responsibility sensitisation to be adopted as a Community Development Service (CDS) option for serving Corps Members.
“This collaboration between the Commission and NYSC will provide a platform for developing future leaders in Nigeria”.

In his response, the DG of the NYSC welcomed the Chairman’s submissions as a positive step towards building a transparent and accountable government from the level of youth sensitisation.
The visit was in line with the Chairman’s sensitisation visits to MDAs as part of the commission’s mandate to get them to fully comply with the fiscal responsibility policies.
