Minister names e-Library after outgoing Solicitor General

The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, on Friday named the ministry’s E-Library after the outgoing Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary, Dayo Apata, SAN.

Malami did this at the sent forth and hand-over ceremony in honour of Apata, organised by the ministry.

He said naming the E-Library ‘Dayo Toba Apata E-Library, was to immortalise him, for his efforts, achievements and commitment.

“Apata deserves National honour in view of his meritorious service to the nation which are too numerous to mention.

“We are celebrating an unbroken record of commitment and professionalism demonstrated by this sound legal mind who is exiting the federal service of our dear country.

“With the commendable consistency of Apata in the implementation of policies and programmes, I can say with pride that the ministry has been lifted to higher grounds and has become the envy of others,” he said.

Malami urged the incoming Permanent Secretary and Solicitor General to build on the invaluable and indelible legacies left by Apata.

Apata in his response thanked President Muhammadu Buhari and Malami for the opportunity given to him to serve humanity.

He equally thanked the staff of the ministry for the cooperation and support he got from them during his years of service.

Highlights of the event included the signing and hand over note to the incoming acting Solicitor General of the Federation, Mohammed Umar.
