Gov Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State has approved a total of 121 new political and statutory appointments .
He made this known in a statement in Ado Ekiti on Thursday.
The statement was issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Olayinka Oyebode, According to the statement, some of the new appointees are to fill positions into the remaining boards of agencies and commissions in the state in a bid to enhance service delivery and smooth running of government businesses.
The statement said Fayemi also approved the appointment of some Special Assistants and Senior Special Assistants to take charge of some critical responsibilities in the Administration.
The new appointees are; Anifowose Badejo, Chairman, Environmental Protection Agency and five others as board members while Capt. Sunday Adebomi (rtd) serves as Chairman, State Emergency Management Agency with two other members.
The State Education Trust Fund has Prof Muyiwa Igbalajobi as Chairman and three others members, while the State Boundary Commission has Mr Kayode Olaosebikan as Chairman and 13 statutory members from MDAs – as members.
Other boards with minimum of three and maximum of five members are ; Muslims Pilgrimage Welfare Board, Micro-Credit And Enterprises Development Agency, Christian Pilgrim’s Welfare Board, Rural Water Supply And Sanitation Agency,State Electricity Board and State Scholarship Board.
The list also include State Housing Corporation, State Traffic Management Agency, State Tourism Board, State Library Board and State Traditional Medicine Board. Others are; State Board of Internal Revenue and State Aids Control Agency, Sustainable Development Goals Network, Water Corporation, State Sports Council, State Pension Commission, Judicial Service Commission, Investment Promotion Agency, State Signage and Advertisement Agency, and Ekiti Agric Marketing Agency.
Mr Gbenga Adebayo immediate past Commissioner for Environment, was appointed as Special Adviser in charge of Human Capital Development and Allied Matters. The Senior Special Assistants are; Ayo Daramola – SSA, Legal Matters, Mrs Tosin Ajisafe-Aluko- SSA, Community Engagement & Enlightenment, Rotimi Ajidara – SSA, Local Government Affairs, Aduloju Yemi Sunday – SSA, Protocol/Logistics.
Busuyi Ayodele – SSA, Political Surveillance, Olaiya Kupolati – SSA, Electoral Matters and Mr Femi Ogundare – SSA, Chief of Staff’s Office.
