Gov. Umahi’s sacking of aides is to accommodate new party, not witch-hunt – APC

Mr Simbad Ogbuatu, the Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi says, Governor David Umahi’s sacking of aides is to promote inclusiveness and accommodate the new party.

Ogbuatu, who said this on Sunday in Abakaliki noted that the ongoing sack is not to witch-hunt anybody.

It would be recalled that the Governor had sacked all political appointees including: all coordinators, Senior Technical Assistants, STAs, Technical Assistants, TAs among others from Ohaukwu Local government area of the state.

The Governor had also announced the dissolution of all boards and commissions in the state.

According to the Publicity Secretary, “the sacking is not to force them join the APC but purely based on harmonisation of government processes in the state.

“It is harmonisation processes to bring in some persons from the APC in order to balance the government in the state. The Governor wants to carry everyone along.

“To keep the promises he made with the National Working Committees of the APC.

“So, the sacking is just harmonisation processes to accommodate the new party and promote inclusiveness to move not only Ebonyi forward but Nigeria at-large,” Ognuatu explained.
