Chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ifedore local government area of Ondo State, Mrs.Adeyefa Oyinkansola-Williams has assured womenfolk in the state of a better deal and government patronage during the second tenure of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu as from February 24, 2021.

Oyinkansola-Williams made this known on Friday in a congratulatory message to Gov Akeredolu and made available to newsmen in Akure, the state capital.

She noted that more than 65% of women across the 18 local government areas of the state contributed to the just concluded electoral victory of Akeredolu.

She rejoiced with Governor Akeredolu on his victory at the poll on October 10, 2020 and urged him to continue with his praise-worthy infrastructure development in the state.

Oyinkansola-Williams urged the winner to be magnanimous in victory by embracing and work with other political groups in the state in order to achieve better results in the next four years.

I need to use this medium on this occasion of celebrating your victory at the poll to seek your express approval, for a 40% allocation of positions reserved for women in your next cabinet as a reward for the unalloyed support and massive votes contributed to your victory by women in the state.

“We women promise to keep supporting you, and to stand solidly behind your administration, as we hope and believe you will continue to carry us along and increase our participation in government activities and programmes.

This would ensure that you succeed even much more than you did in the first term.
“Once more I join the rest of the womenfolk in the state to congratulate you and Her Excellency, Mrs. Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu on this well deserved victory at the poll.

“The women of this state have resolved to continue to give their support and loyalty to the government and the good works of our mother, the first lady, Mrs. Anyanwu- Akeredolu.

This includes groups such as BRECAN, Bemore and FOWOSO who all pray for more success and women impactful programmes in the next four years”.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN)reports that Mrs.Oyinkansola-Williams served as secretary of the Women Mobilisation Committee of Akeredolu/Aiyedatiwa Campaign Council in the just concluded governorship election.
