Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano, has suspended his media aide, Mr Salihu Yakasai for some unguarded utterances he made against President Muhammadu Buhari on the social media.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by the state Commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba and made available to newsmen on Sunday in Kano.

The commissioner  made the announcement of the suspension with immediate effect.

According to the statement, although the aide made the utterances as a personal opinion, it will be difficult to differentiate between personal opinion and official statement on matters of public concern.

He, therefore, warned all public appointees and public servants in the state, to guard against making statements capable of generating unnecessary controversies.

It further reaffirmed the commitment of the Ganduje led administration, to the policies and programmes of the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration.

Gfhnews gathered that Mr Yakasai made some utterances criticising some policies of the Federal government on his social media handles, and some online media platforms made stories out of them, making them viral.
