A German based NGO, the Social Development Initiative Foundation, has donated no fewer than 90 units of mobile tricycles to people with special needs in Bauchi State.

Bruder added that the initiative was actualized in collaboration with the Nigeria Ambassador to the Republic of Germany, Alhaji Yusuf Tugar, to bring succor to vulnerable groups and Internally Displace Persons.

She said that under the first phase of the programme, each of the 90 beneficiaries would recieve a unit of tricycle and modernized wheel chairs, adding,”we would also provide token to enable them utilize the tricycles to the fullest.”

Bruder described Bauch State Governor, Bala Mohammed, as a workaholic and a consummate democrat who cherishes human development.

She assured that the NGO would continue to partner with the government towards salvaging the plight of the less previlleged.

In his remarks, Gov Mohammed lauded the efforts of the NGO for the intervention, stressing that they would continue to partner with the foundation for the progress of the state.

He explained that the beneficiaries were carefully selected by the state chapter of the association of people with special needs, to ensure equity and justice in the distribution of the cycles and chairs.
