Barr. Ndidi Ojo, the convener of ‘Stop the Abuse Against Women and Children Foundation has reported a case of defilement of a minor, 8-year-old girl to the Alakuko police station, Ogun State.
The Foundation reported the incident in the company of the victim and her mother.
The incident happened at unity estate, Ajegunle, Alagbado, a border town between Ogun and Lagos state where a 35-years-old man, Prophet Olarenwaju Owodunni lured the victim after buying a bottle of big cola and biscuits for her before he allegedly raped her.
Our correspondent gathered that the mother of the victim who does menial job had gone to work when the incident happened.
However, nemesis caught up with the perpetrator when the victim’s mother met her daughter eating from a “clay pot” .
According to the mother of the victim who spoke with our reporter through phone conversation, ‘she met her daughter eating food inside a clay pot and was surprised because she never prepared or present any food to her daughter with such.
” I took the food away from her and asked her who gave her the food she was eating and she told me it was the Prophet.
“My daughter said ‘he put his wee wee into my wee wee and when blood came out, he used a piece of white cloth to clean it.
“As I was screening my neighbors directed me to the human right office where I reported the matter immediately”.
It was gathered that the prophet does not have a specific church he attended or presided over as an claimed prophet .
Gfhnews learnt that the prophet has confessed that he wanted to use the girl for rituals and that the sexual defilement was part of the process .
The pot he used to prepare the concoction has been retrieved and the case to be transferred to State CID, Abeokuta for further investigations.
