Bauchi North Senatorial Zone on Thursday disassociated itself from the purported suspension and recall of Adamu Bulkachuwa, Senator representing the zone in the 9th  Senate.

Malam Muhammed Yahaya, the APC chairman, Kafin Kuka/Tsakuwa Kofar Gabas Ward in Katagum LG, on June  9, 2020, announced the suspension of Sen. Bulkachuwa for allegedly abandoning his constituency for more than six months.

However, addressing journalists on Thursday, Bauchi State Zonal chairman of the party,  Alhaji  Abbas Turaki  said the APC was not aware of the purported suspension.

Turaki  said the leadership of the APC  disassociated itself from any suspension of the Senator.

He urged the  party supporters to disregard the purported suspension and described the situation as misguided.

The Vice  Chairman who lead the seven local government areas that made up the Bauchi North Senatorial Zone said

“We disassociate ourselves from any form of protest” or recall process against Senator Bulkachuwa.

“it is important to note that Senator Adamu Muhammad Bulkachuwa is representing 7 LGAs and 74 wards of Bauchi North Senatorial District.

“We sincerely write to reaffirm our loyalty and support for the progress of Bauchi North.

“We further learnt that some misguided elements are proposing for a recall of our dear Senator,” he said.

According to him, the party at the  state level has instructed that no meeting shall be held at any ward or local government level without a written notification to the zonal office.

On his part the campaign coordinator of Senator Bulkachuwa ,Alhaji Bello Shehu denied the allegations that the Senator abandoned his constituents.

He said that Sen Bulkachuwa was always in touch with his constituents , stakeholders and the party leadership at the state and  the zone.

Shehu said that the Senator had set up various programmes including scholarships, women and youths empowerment in all the seven Local Government areas of the zone.

He explained that Sen Bulkachuwa had provided skills acquisition for youth on poultry farming in his constituency.

Shehu urged the youth in the zone not to allow  themselves to be  used by elements  against the development of the constituency.
