The Director General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu says a storey building located at 3, Sadiku Str. Iyana Ipaja has partially collapsed.
Oke-Osanyintolu made the disclosure to newsmen in Lagos on Thursday.
He said that when they got to the scene of incident, it was discovered that the building consisted of eight rooms, 23 shops and a store.
According to him, further investigation carried out by the LASEMA Response Team (LRT), revealed that the adjoining fence to the staircase collapsed.
He said that the collapsed building had also affected the toilet of the adjacent building adding that no body sustained any injuries and no life was lost.
Oke-Osanyintolu, however, said that the affected area had been cordoned off and that proper integrity tests would be carried out.
