Alhaji Yahaya Ndu, the President, Peoples’ Movement for a New Nigeria (PMNN) says Nigerians are saying a capital `NO’ to recolonization, whether by china or any other country, and would never allow it to succeed.
Ndu who said this in a statement he issued in Abuja on Wednesday was reacting to the comment of the Minister of Health on May 14 concerning the whereabouts of the 15 Chinese medical team that arrived Nigeria on April 8.
Osagie Ehanire’s had said in the comment that the experts were not his guests but those of China Civil Engineering Construction Company (CCECC).
He also requested that reporters should not bother his ministry over the whereabouts of the Chinese medical experts who came into Nigeria to support the fight against COVID-19.
Meanwhile, Mr Michael Yigao, the MD of CCECC in his interview with the press on the matter, confirmed the experts came to take care of its employees and share their experiences with Nigeria in fighting the COVID-19”.
Ndu said that the Minister saying that the real mission of the Chinese doctors in Nigeria at the invitation and expense of a Chinese company in Nigeria is to help in building and equipping COVID 19 Isolation Centers is worrisome and Nigerians should be concerned.
“If this is true, it implies that this government is mortgaging and undermining the sovereignty of Nigeria, and this is totally unacceptable.
“We recall that when the British came to pacify and colonise Nigeria, the instrument they used was a British company ROYAL NIGER COMPANY.
“Now that the Chinese are trying to colonise us, we must defend the sovereignty of Nigeria’’.
Ndu said that COVID 19 was alleged to have been invented and deployed by China as an instrument for world domination.
“So for our government to be speaking from both sides of the mouth on the matter of these mysterious and clandestine so-called Chinese doctors is a frightening betrayal of public trust.
“It is a shame and an affront against the interests of Nigeria and of every Nigeria at home and in the diaspora”, he said.
