Chanchaga Local Government Council in Niger said that it had started investigation into the disappearance of food items given as palliatives to the Limawa community near Minna.
Alhaji Ibrahim Bosso, Chairman, Chanchaga Local Government Council made this known to newsmen in Tuesday in Minna.
“The local government council has set up a committee to investigate the matter and its report will be submitted on Wednesday, ” he said.
He said that the committee was saddled with the responsibility of unraveling how some of the food items disappeared after being presented at the Headquarters of the Limawa ward in Chanchaga.
Members of the community reported the issue to the council boss who in turn notified the state government.
NAN also recalls that the state government gave Limawa ward some palliatives following the discovery of a COVID-19 case in the area.
The area was isolated from the rest of council area as a result of the discovery of the pandemic.
