The Archbishop of the Resurrection Praise Ministries For Africa, His Eminence, Ambassador Samson Mustapha Benjamin, aka Jehovah Sharp Sharp, has put smiles on the faces of residents of Ajeromi area of Lagos State by providing some relief food packs for them.
Archbishop Benjamin said he provided the relief food support packs to compliment the palliative measures put in place by the government.
“The effort is aimed at reducing the effect of the lockdown on the people and also ensure that people are well fed as we unite in the fight against the dreaded coronavirus pandemic.
“We have to assist the government in extending a helping hand to its citizens, especially the less privileged ones’’.
He said the lockdown extension ordered by the federal government is for them to continue to take necessary measures and intensify efforts to curb the spread of this virus.
“So this is part of my humanitarian service to evangelise the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to the world.
“I provided food relief pack for the indigent and the vulnerable immediately the lockdown was announced and I saw that the palliative measures provided by government did not go as far as it was meant to.
“If the federal government further extends restriction order of sit at home, I will continue to extend the same kind gesture across the state’’.
He advised Nigerians to comply with all the rules and regulations by the government to curb the further spread of Coronavirus.
“Most especially the people in the rural areas, who may not quickly have access to medical care.
“I want people to obey the sit at home order even though I know this difficult for the masses,’’ he added.
One of the beneficiaries, Mrs Shola Teni expressed sincere gratitude to the archbishop for his intervention.
“Just two weeks ago, Lagos state distributed food emergency packs in this area but it was only shared among the APC members.
“I pray that God will bless the pastor and his members for showing kindness to people at a hard time like this.”
Another beneficiary, Mr Moses Abiodun was excited and commended the efforts of the man of God and his members who remembered the needy in the society by the surprise relief food packages.
