The Kaduna State Government (KDSG) warned travelers breaching the lockdown conditions to avoid the State or face 14 days in an isolation facility. The Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr Samuel Aruwan, gave the warning in a statement issued on Wednesday in Kaduna.

“The Kaduna State Government has warned travelers trying to breach its quarantine conditions to desist or face 14 days’ in an isolation facility.

” The notice was issued at the end of today’s meeting of the State Standing Committee on Covid-19.

“This order comes into effect from Thursday,  April 9. “All entry points will be barricaded, and only authorised vehicles will be allowed to pass,” he warned l.

According to him, those denied entry will be asked to return to where they came from.

“Those who insist on entering Kaduna State will be taken to spend 14 days in an isolation facility,” he said.

He explained that persons without valid passes are strongly advised to cancel any plans to travel to Kaduna State.

Aruwan added that  security agencies have been issued firm instructions to turn back people at entry points into the Kaduna-Abuja road, Kaduna-Birnin Gwari road and Kaduna-Zaria-Kano road.

Others are Kachia Road, the Bwari-Jere-Kagarko road, Gumel-Kwoi-Keffi road, Zaria-Funtua road and the Jos-Manchock road.

He said this order also affects other entry and exit points into the state that may not be listed yet.

“The state has imposed clear quarantine regulations in the interest of public safety. “These will be strictly enforced to keep people safe from COVID-19,”he said
